The Beginning
My journey into photography didn't start in a studio or with a grand plan. It actually began when I was 13 I just wanted a camera to start taking photographs which I did on and off for many years.
In adulthood Life took me down a different path for a while, getting into engineering and then construction, but a serious accident at work changed everything in Nov 2009. It left me unable to work for years, and honestly the feeling I had was that I was totally lost. It was during that recovery I picked up a camera again. I dove headfirst into Virtual Reality (VR) photography as Facebook mid 2017 had just made it easier to upload 360 images without special websites, and something just clicked. It felt like coming home.
What blew me away was how quickly things took off. Within six months of really getting into VR photography, I entered The Clauss art of panorama Awards in 2018. I was stunned when three of my images were chosen for their book of 25 images, putting me among the worlds top VR photographers worldwide – and I was the only photographer from United Kingdom to be featured in the international book.
That success gave me the push to start aml360images in 2018, focusing on property photography. Then came an even bigger revelation: while digging into my family history, I discovered my great-great-grandfather Robert little was Wigan's very first professional photographer back in the 1860s and he is internationally famed to this day for this iconic and very historically important photo that he took in 1872 of Arfur j Munby and Ellen Grounds a wigan pit brow lass,
It felt like everything suddenly made sense about wanting to be a photographer all those years ago – this pull towards the lens, my quick rise... it was in my DNA.
Today, aml360images is my thriving Property Photography business. I specialize in property photography, and now my signature day-to-dusk conversions, and it's incredible to see my work featured in international and UK publications and on UK tv news channels. It truly feels like I've finally stepped onto the path I was always meant to be on.
